Questions owners ask
Who runs Plan Exit Now?
Dan Bernstein, a sell-side M&A advisor near Cincinnati, through his company Bernstein LLC. It's a free resource, not a separate firm, and Dan is the person you'll deal with.
Is this a broker trying to list my business?
No. Nothing is listed or marketed. The tools are free and using them commits you to nothing. If you decide to sell and want help, Dan can represent you or point you to the right kind of advisor.
What does it cost?
The Readiness Score, the value check, the Earnings Check and a first conversation are free. If you later hire an advisor to sell, fees are set in a written agreement before any work starts.
Is the Earnings Check an audit or a valuation?
No. It's a preliminary review based only on the documents and answers you share, meant to show what a buyer is likely to question. It isn't an audit, an appraisal, a valuation or tax advice, and Dan isn't a CPA.
How do I send my financials safely?
Don't email them. After you request the Earnings Check, Dan sends a secure upload link. Your documents are used only for your check and deleted on request.
Is this confidential?
Yes. Your name, your numbers and your interest in selling aren't shared with anyone, including buyers, without your permission.
Do I have to be ready to sell?
No. Most owners who use the tools are one to five years away. The earlier you start, the more value-raising work you can get done.
Will my employees or customers find out?
Not from us. You decide when and how to tell anyone.
